What Trout Boost does.
Trout effluent isn't a fertilizer. It's the same biological signal soil has been waiting for since long before bagged NPK existed.
-
Fuels microbes
Living biology — the part bagged fertilizer can't deliver.
-
Strengthens roots
Bioavailable nitrogen and trace minerals plants actually use.
-
Raises organic matter
Builds soil structure season over season, not just one bloom.
-
Outperforms synthetics
Side-by-side trials in five Colorado counties since 2021.
Built for every kind of grower.
From the raised bed in your backyard to a 40-acre orchard. Same bottle.

We're a family of five.
And about 18,000 rainbow trout. Trout Boost started because we noticed the grass downstream of our pools grew taller than the rest of the field.

Real people. Real soil.
June H. · Durango, COTomatoes doubled in the same bed. Same seeds. Different soil.
Ray T. · Palisade, COI switched my whole 4-acre orchard. Saved $1,800 the first season.
Anna C. · Boulder, COSmells like a farm pond for ten minutes. Then it smells like nothing. Plants love it.
Questions, answered.
Will it smell?
For about ten minutes, like a farm pond. Then it disappears completely as soil biology metabolizes it.
Is it safe around pets and kids?
Yes. Trout Boost is OMRI-listed and contains nothing your dog couldn't drink. We still recommend washing harvested produce.
Can I use it with synthetics?
You can — but you usually won't need them within two seasons. Microbial soil unlocks nutrients that bagged fertilizer just hands you.
How long does a bottle last?
The 1-gal treats up to 600 sq ft for a full season; 2.5-gal covers 1,500; 5-gal covers 3,500.
